Flight attendants and cabin crew from major international airlines get used to traveling the world and enjoying the lifestyle offered by airlines. Some layovers are just enough for adequate rest before flying back to base again. Sometimes, you may get a full day or night in the city and have a chance to see the sights, shop and eat the local food. Here we look at some flight attendant favorites.

Zanzibar in Tanzania is a huge favorite with cabin crew at Emirates. They call it the most beautiful island on earth. This tropical island in the Indian Ocean is popular for its beautiful beaches and clear turquoise ocean. The old quarter is great for some culture and history. It’s relatively underdeveloped and untouched by tourism, so a great place for the crew to grab some rest and beach time.
