The airline has made the change to its Nagpur-Goa service.
IndiGo has made changes to one of its flights to Goa to allow passengers to reach the popular holiday destination at a more convenient time. The airline will soon shift its Nagpur-Goa flight from late night to an evening arrival. It will also start a new service between Amritsar and Hyderabad via Goa to meet tourist demand.
Evening arrival
Goa-bound passengers from Nagpur can now arrive at their destination at a more convenient time, with IndiGo changing its flight schedule. From February 1st, the airline will offer an evening connection between the two cities, with the flight arriving in Goa at 18:55.
IndiGo will also start operations between Amritsar-Hyderabad via Goa on the same day. The carrier says that these new additions have been introduced in the winter schedule to cater to the increasing demand and provide ease of accessibility, during the peak travel season to Goa. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, commented,
“To make it hassle-free for travellers, we are rescheduling the red-eye flights between Goa-Nagpur to a more convenient time in the evening. The new flight between Amritsar-Hyderabad via Goa will also help in establishing direct connectivity between Amritsar-Goa. These flights will add capacity to Goa, to cater to the increasing demand and provide more options for a beach vacation.”

Strong demand
Goa is a popular beach destination in West India and a tourist magnet at this time of the year. Its new Manohar International Airport also commenced operations on January 5th. Located in North Goa, it had already attracted over 200 services even before opening, and IndiGo was the first airline to start flights from here.
On January 1st, Goa Airport also clocked its highest-ever daily flights, with 104 services carrying 13,147 arriving and 17,335 leaving. With two operational airports and increasing demand from travelers, Goa can expect to get very busy in the coming months.
